Greetings from Dover, New Hampshire.
This past week has been a bit of whirlwind with four flights in two days spanning San Francisco, Denver, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Boston, and capped of with a bus ride to Portsmouth, NH. There were delays along the way and lots of babies crying in the back of the plane, but we made it with time to spare for our wedding tomorrow at the Science Museum in Boston.
Last weekend, we had two absolutely gorgeous weddings in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and Carmel Valley, California. We’re extremely excited to share the photos with you soon.
After the wedding in Carmel Valley, we had a couple of days to explore San Francisco. We spent some time driving along cliff-sides roads with the ocean crashing directly below us; we saw dolphins from Ocean Beach; we were total tourists and drove down Lombard Road which is so steep that it switch-backs down the hill; we walked to the most beautiful lighthouse perched atop a cliff and accessible only by a suspension bridge; and so on and so forth. We also did a walk through at the San Francisco Zoo with a bride and groom whose wedding we’re photographing in mid-September. There will be zebras and antelopes visible from the ceremony site and a giraffe feeding for the entire bridal party.
Another highlight was visiting a speakeasy in San Francisco called Bourbon + Branch. To make a long story short, a password is required, there are secret rooms accessible only by turning certain books in a bookcase, and there are no windows. It definitely transports you to a different era.
And now, a smattering of photos.
That’s all for this week. Thanks for reading and hope you have a great weekend filled with Settlers, milkshakes, and swedish fish.
