Greetings from Long Island, New York.
For starters, here are a couple of photos from last week when we spent some time cruising around Newport, Rhode Island – self-proclaimed: first beach town in America.
Earlier this week, we had some time to do some exploring around the greater San Francisco area after the wedding we photographed at the SF Zoo. On Sunday, we took a quick day trip up to Sonoma and toured a couple of wineries. Every so often, I liked to comment, “Too much minerality” or “Not enough minerality” so that it sounded like I knew what I was talking about. Entering and exiting San Francisco via the Golden Gate is also always so cool and the nature that surrounds the area is just striking.
On Monday, we headed North again, but this time to Muir Woods. Michelle and I took a nice leisurely stroll through the redwoods and I think it was one of the few times in the last number of weeks that we’ve been totally speechless. It seemed like the light everywhere was perfect and the redwoods are awe-inspiring. Notice how tiny Michelle is compared to the tree.
After Muir Woods, we took a drive along the 1 to Stinson Beach, where I pretty quickly sprawled out on the sand and fell asleep. It’s times like these when you begin to realize how tired you are and that you don’t care when sand is spilling into your nostrils and mouth. Still, totally worth it.
We have a wedding today in Brooklyn so it’s time to pack up. Give yourself a hug from Paper Antler.
xoxoxo,
J+M
